A: No. Becoming a PTA member does not require you to volunteer. While we always welcome volunteers, your membership alone helps support the PTA's mission and gives you a voice in our organization.
Q: Who can become a PTA member?
A: Everyone is welcome! Parents, guardians, grandparents, teachers, staff, alumni, and community members can all join the Chesterton Elementary PTA.
Q: Can more than one person in my family join?
A: Yes! PTA memberships are individual, so each parent, guardian, grandparent, or family member may purchase their own membership. Every membership strengthens our PTA and counts toward your child's classroom during our annual membership drive.
Q: Where does my membership fee go?
A: A portion of each membership supports the California State PTA and Ninth District PTA, while the remaining funds stay with the Chesterton Elementary PTA to help support local programs, events, and initiatives that benefit our students, staff, and families.
Q: How long does my membership last?
A: PTA memberships are valid for one school year and should be renewed each year to continue supporting the Chesterton Elementary PTA.
